This the proper way of sharing the words of the Bible. Not too stiff.

"Lecture me with an open mind and maybe I can comprehend faith with an open heart."

"Blind faith" is the cause of wars since time immemorial.

Keep it up Bro!

I left you this comment on my last post:

Godamongus. If you look at the New Living Translation, I think you get a clearer meaning, "For before John came, all the prophets and the law of Moses looked forward to this present time." The OT prophets and John were prophesying about the Coming King.

It doesn't mean there are no more prophets after John. Ephesians 4:10-12 reads, "He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up."

There are my thoughts.
Beth :o)

Thanks Beth,

That is the way I interpreted it as well; meaning, that "the present time" was the time of Jesus, which was 2,000 years ago, when both John and Jesus walked the earth in the flesh. I relied heavily on that verse in my topic #13-"They would not have crucified the Lord of glory" and I intend to write an upcoming topic about it, so, I just wanted to make sure other Christians got the same meaning out of it that I got from it.

Have a Happy and blessed Thanksgiving Day!

Thank you for becoming a follower on my blog and the invitation to comment here.

Granted that philosophy is very different to yours; not better nor worse just not the same.

A MESSENGER

Listen!
Come listen cousins all
Hear your temple bell chime?
She is at the door.
A messenger on the hill signalling

Not for us mammons coffer
Nor a tomb of clay
Life richer than the Sun
Ever spirit ever born
Pours from Wisdoms chalice.

Listen
Before Sun and Stars were born
She existed, She is the word
That mingled bread and wine
In mystic union deep
Prepared our table
With the elixir of Life
Love and Peace.

Heron,

Thank you for the poem, "A messenger"

It reminds me of the comfort, joy and hope I feel each time I read topic #15-"This is what he said." Such a powerful message, indeed!

Our 'pale blue dot' is significant enough for the creator of such an amazing Universe to come among us in great humility as a child. Now that humility is REAL power :)

Bernie,

Thanks for the hug! I think all the prophets and the law can be summarized in one word, "hug!" It's just nice to get a hug sometimes...lol. Also, please let me know whenever you think my interpretations are not logical and biblically supported

Aromas, colores, costumbres, tradiciones...

godamongus: Thank you SO much for following my blog! It truly must have been God Among Us who facilitated you finding me!

I just read your article "Understand from what has been made" and completely agree. When I took biology in college, it was like seeing into the Mind of God. I have many relatives who no longer believe in God and it makes me sad. How can one contemplate creation and not see the Creator?

I love your fish too, btw! I used to have them on my desktop. :)
